FAQ & Help

Everything you need to know about Stratosig.

Important. Not financial advice. Information and education only. Signals and paper-trade results are not a recommendation to trade. Past or simulated performance does not indicate future results. Crypto trading carries a high risk of loss — you may lose some or all of your capital. Always do your own research.

About the signals
Stratosig scans the top 20 crypto pairs using five technical analysis strategies (EMA crossover, RSI divergence, MACD cross, volume breakout, bull/bear flag). When a strategy fires, a signal is recorded and shown on the dashboard with a direction (Buy/Sell/Neutral), confidence score, horizon (timeframe), entry/stop/target levels, and reasoning. They are data points for your own research — not buy or sell orders.
Confidence is a percentage (0–100) produced by the strategy based on how cleanly the pattern formed. A higher number means the indicator conditions were more strongly met. It does not predict outcome or guarantee profitability. A 90% confidence signal can still lose; a 55% signal can still win. Always consider it alongside the stop, target, and invalidation level.
Horizon is the timeframe the signal was generated on: 1H (1-hour), 4H (4-hour), 1D (daily), or 1W (weekly). A 1H signal is expected to play out within hours; a 1W signal over days to weeks. You can filter by horizon using the timeframe buttons on the dashboard.
"Strong Buy" (or "Strong Sell") is shown when the confidence score is ≥ 80% or the strategy marks the signal strength as "strong". The pill appears with a brighter colour. It still carries the same risk disclaimer — strength is a measure of pattern quality, not outcome certainty.
No signal on this platform is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Signals are information and educational data only. Any decision to trade is yours alone, based on your own research and risk tolerance. Please read our full disclaimer and ensure you understand the risks before trading any financial instrument.
Paper-trade scoreboard
Each signal is automatically entered into a simulated (paper) trade using the entry/stop/target levels from the signal. When the price (in the data feed) hits either the target or the stop, the trade is closed and a win/loss recorded. The scoreboard shows aggregate stats by strategy: win rate, average R-multiple, Sharpe ratio, and max drawdown. This is simulated performance — not real money — and is shown for informational and research purposes only.
A strategy is marked "Incubating" when it has fewer than 30 closed paper trades. With small sample sizes, statistics like win rate and Sharpe are not statistically reliable. Treat incubating rows as preliminary data only.
No. Past or simulated performance does not indicate or guarantee future results. Crypto markets are highly unpredictable, and strategy performance can degrade rapidly as market conditions change. The scoreboard is a research tool, not a performance guarantee.
